Herbie 14 year old rescue cat

Bertie spent many years on the streets, a community cat you might say, till it was decided he was not coping as well, he was getting older and was in urgent need of dental care so he came to us. Bertie had his dental and recovered very well, he is now able to enjoy his life without the constant pain of bad teeth. Being very used to people Bertie is very friendly, he loves sitting on laps and cuddles, as much attention as he can get really. Bertie did find a lovely home with an older gentleman and they were the perfect pair, both fell in love and were inseperable, sadly tragedy struck and Berties friend suddenly passed away and Bertie had to come back. He is bereft, so sad and cannot understand what he has done wrong, which is nothing but he doesn’t know and and at the moment he is inconsolable. Bertie desperately needs a new home either with an older person/couple or someone who lives a quiet life, he must be the only pet and as he is older he would not like to live with young children though would not object to them visiting.
